What is a baking tray?

A baking sheet is a flat metal plate that can be placed in the oven to bake, grill, or roast food. Baking sheets come in various shapes and sizes and are usually made of materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, or cast iron.

Tips for using a baking tray

To ensure even cooking, preheat the baking sheet before placing food on it. Use a spatula to place and rotate food on the baking sheet. This prevents damage to the non-stick coating.

Use parchment paper to prevent food from sticking to the baking sheet. This also makes cleaning the baking sheet easier. Don't use metal objects like forks and knives to turn food on the baking sheet. This can damage the non-stick coating. Let the food rest for a few minutes after removing it from the oven. This prevents it from drying out.
