Pina Colada
The Pina Colada is a well-known cocktail based on pineapple juice, white rum, coconut milk and coconut cream. When you think of the cocktail, you quickly think of a beach surrounded by palm trees and a bright blue sea. Not much is known about the origins of the pina colada, but it is said that the drink was invented in 1954 by a bartender in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Later, the pina colada was named the national drink of Puerto Rico. The cocktail looks perfect in the special hurricane glasses.
Blue Hawaii
The blue Hawaii is a tropical drink that is not much different from the pina colada. The drink was invented in 1857 by bartender Harry Yee in, you may have guessed it, Hawaii. The drink even has Dutch roots. A representative of the Dutch drinks brand Bols had approached Harry to make a cocktail with “Blue Curaçao” from Bols. After much thought, Harry Yee came up with the idea of the Blue Hawaii. The drink contains; Blue Curaçao, rum, vodka, pineapple and sweet and sour. And of course the tropical drink is served in a large hurricane glass.
