The inspiration for the 'Modern America' collection originated a long time ago. It is an updated version of a 'Modern America' collection designed by Edwin W. Fuerst. His glasses were based on the time of the first world exhibition and the last years of both the Art Deco period and the Second World War. As a distraction from the war, the first glassware was made by hand here. The stem will have to be compared with the world famous Empire State Building and Chrysler Building in New York.
