The different types of glasses commonly used for cocktails are as follows:
Gin and tonic glasses- The Gin and tonic glass also called: balloon glass is used for Gin and tonics. The glass brings out the best of the flavors and keeps the effervescence of the Tonic in the glass for longer.
Large cocktail glasses - These are used for cocktails that contain a lot of content or a lot of ice.
Highball glasses- Long drink glasses are narrower and higher in shape. The glasses are used for mixed drinks.
Margarita glasses- Margatita glasses are shaped like a sombrero. This glass is intended for cocktails where a lot of ice has been used.
Martini glasses- Martini glasses have a wide V-shape. These cocktail glasses are used for different cocktails and are called V shapes.
Tiki glasses- Tiki glasses are made of ceramic. The glasses have a large capacity and can therefore be used for various cocktails. A tiki glass is so special because the Tiki heads or images are incorporated into the glass. The glasses have a real Hawaiian style, nice for a tropical cocktail.
